      Youth Education

Scouts, school groups, volunteers, and visitors alike enjoy our animals. They are fun to be around! Cleaning, feeding, brushing, learning the proper care of animals and safety are all part of the educational program at the foundation. Experiences such as candling eggs and learning how yarn is made and used directly from an animal are all part of the well rounded experience. Learning what adequate shelter and housekeeping are necessary for a health animals is an essential part of understanding of what animals need.

Proper care, use, storage and maintenance of tack, equipment and supplies add to the entire experience of animal care.

The directors of the foundation are competent lifetime educators, and are committed to the education of the public about animals in general and especially animals in need of special care.
